home office update

Several months ago, I bought a Hooker floating desk. I’ve been searching for the perfect chair to complement it. I found this vintage Steelcase 451 in a lovely, perhaps… earthy, yellow tone. I couldn’t resist it, and I might have overpaid a bit. This purchase motivated me to tidy up my office and rearrange the room.

I also decided that I wanted my desktop wallpaper to somewhat align with the mid-century modern aesthetic, which exudes a timeless vibe. I recall a scene in Mad Men where a “Helvetica” poster was proudly displayed in the background. 

I found the visual aesthetic pleasing. Although it might not be suitable for a poster in my space, it could make a great background. Moreover, it’s arguably one of the most enduring typefaces ever created, making it a timeless choice.
